Degree Programs

Biblical Studies Program

The Biblical Studies Program at NBBC is designed to provide the student with clear understanding of the Scriptures. This program will focus on interpreting the literary, historical and theological context of Scriptures. Courses will explore the meaning of the text. Students should expect to receive sound biblical teaching and acquire the skills necessary to handle the Word of God with accuracy for themselves and the benefit of teaching, preaching, assisting and building others.

Theology Program

Theology is a comprehensive study of spiritual, religious and theological issues of doctrine concerning God and his attributes. It is an ample attempt to answer the basic questions that people everywhere often ask concerning the God of the Bible. The Theology Program at NBBC will explore with its students the relevant teaching of God, His attributes and many other theological topics. We will challenge the student to appreciate the complexities of the Living God. Students should expect to attain an assured profound knowledge of God and be able to apply their acquired skills toward any field of ministry.

Pastoral Ministry Program

NBBC believes that ministry requires a sound biblical and theological doctrine. Proper preparation is important to a minister's success. This course is designed to prepare students for ministry and Pastoral position in several areas which include: spiritual development, personal relationship with God and people, leadership effectiveness, and cultivation of ministry. Students should expect to develop strong spiritual and theological fundamentals needed to build the qualifications necessary for ministry. When this course is completed, students should have the necessary tools to implement, develop, maintain and encourage ministry; whether in the position of lay member or role of a leader in any organization or church.

Associates Degree

The Associate Degree program is designed to provide an introduction in the fields of biblical studies and theology. It is foundational and provides insight for both lay and those who wish to become involved in active ministry. Sixty (60) credits are required with a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) on a scale of 4.0. Associate Degrees offered in:

Associates in Ministry- A. A. Min

Associates in Christian Counseling- A.A.C.C

Bachelors Degree

The Bachelor Degree program is designed to provide enrichment in the areas of biblical truths and effective ministry. Both the laity and those pursuing active ministries will benefit from this program. A total of one hundred twenty (120) credits (including 60 from the Associate program) are required with a 2.5 GPA on a scale of 4.0. Bachelor Degree offered in:

Bachelor of Pastoral Ministry – B.P.M

Bachelor of Divinity- B. Div

Bachelor of Christian Counseling- B.C.C

Masters Degree

The Master Degree program is designed for those pursuing full-time ministry. This program requires independent research and study. Entrance into the Master’s Degree program requires the candidates to have obtained a 3.0 GPA, on a scale of 4.0 on their undergraduate transcripts. All Master candidates are required to do a thesis of 50-75 pages before graduation. Masters degrees offered:

Doctorate Degree

The Doctorate Degree program requires in-depth research into various areas of theology and ministry. Admission to the Doctorate Degree program requires the candidate have obtained a Master’s Degree with a 3.0 GPA, on a scale. The only degrees that do not need a thesis or dissertation are Doctorate of Ministry and Masters of Ministry. Doctorates degrees offered:

Honorary Doctorate Degree

The Honorary Doctorate Degrees are only offered to those that have been elected by an individual that can prove the works of the candidate. The Candidate must be proved to be a servant of the Lord. The candidate must have been in ministry for 30 years or more. The candidate will have a few requirements in order to receive the Honorary Degree. You will have to schedule a meeting with the Presidents for requirements. We offer the Honorary Degree once a year for 30 years or less in ministry and twice a year for 30 years and more.

NBBC Covenant Agreement

As a student of New Birth Bible College, I understand that:

1. New Birth Bible College is a Christian college. This means that all the principles of righteous and upright living are to be upheld. I understand that I am expected to live a life which legally and morally exemplifies the Christian faith. I understand that any infraction of this standard can result in my dismissal from the college. It is clear to me that dishonesty (including lying, cheating, and unauthorized employment) is clearly a violation of this moral code.

2. New Birth Bible College is school of ministry. This means that the purpose of those enrolled here should be to become prepared for a life of ministry. I understand that such a function and preparation cannot be completed simply by classroom lecture. Therefore, I accept the fact that considerable out-of-class activities are to be a part of my education. Involvement with and participation in all functions (including fund raisers, social events, and special meetings), as well as, actual hands-on ministry is an excellent way for me to become familiar with many aspects of ministry life. Therefore, I commit myself to total involvement.

3. New Birth Bible College is an academic institution. This means that although the emphasis of the school is ministry, a high academic standard is upheld. I understand that I am expected to prepare for class by reading the assigned material and any parallel materials available whether assigned or suggested by the instructor. In addition, I will research the class topic to find other materials which complement and supplement the class work. I commit myself to excellence in class attendance, study, and completion of assignments. I further understand that I must use my time here at NBBC to train myself for a life-long experience of self-education; therefore, I will not rely simply upon my instructors to educate me in the classroom. 4. New Birth Bible College is a full-time college. This means that I must expect my education to consume the majority of my time.
